Qubad Talabani Urges Broader Economic Distribution Across Kurdistan at Delphi Forum Slemani

The second Delphi Forum Slemani is underway with senior Iraqi and international figures gathering for two days of dialogue on investment and regional economic development.

On the second day of the forum, Kurdistan Regional Government Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani called for a fundamental shift in how economic opportunity is distributed across the Kurdistan Region. Talabani stated that development must not remain concentrated in Erbil but extend to cities like Slemani and into rural communities, asserting that people should not have to move towards opportunity but that opportunity should be brought closer to them.
