Iran launches missiles towards Northern Israel

Iran has launched missiles targeting northern Israel, with the IDF stating it is at a high level of readiness and alert, with top commanders conducting situational assessments and closely monitoring developments.

The strike follows Israeli military action in Beirut earlier today targeting Hezbollah positions in the city’s southern suburbs. The escalation comes as US-Iran ceasefire negotiations remain ongoing.

According to insider sources in Iran, it is reported that the missiles were launched from several locations:

  • At least 4 missiles from Kermanshah
  • At least 6 missiles from Tabriz
  • At least 3 missiles from Urmia
  • Launches were also observed in Karaj and Qom

IDF Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin in a press conference says that Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir is conducting an assessment is “approving plans for the future”. He adds that the IDF is prepared for additional missile fire from Iran on Israel.
